Mike Tyson, Spike Lee Talk Broadway Show 'Undisputed Truth' On The 'Today Show'

After captivating fans around the globe with his heavyweight boxing and acting talents, Mike Tyson is headed to Broadway for his one-man show, “Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth.”

Showing at the Longacre Theatre from July 31 – August 5, the Spike Lee-directed production, which debuted at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand last April, will reportedly feature Iron Mike offering a personal look inside the highs and lows of his career, including his addiction to drugs, alcohol and women.

During a taping of the "Today Show," Tyson revealed to Ann Curry the moment he realized he wanted to live a cleaner, healthier lifestyle.

"I just threw up the white flag," he said. "There was too many prison cells, too many jails, too many lawsuits, too many bankruptcies, too many women, too many venereal diseases, too many everything. I got tired. I really got tired of, you know, like every time a prostitute –- I would head back from a trip -- I had to sleep with her. So I just said, 'I'm going to live a different life.'”

Lee said the former heavyweight champ’s stage performance would captivate theatergoers.

“What Mike’s going to do is [display] the same courage he displayed in the ring. I think it’s just as much courage to just go on stage and you bare your soul to the audience. And I think it’s captivating to [do that].”
