This weekend Pride Month gets back to its roots when things get festive in New York City, site of the original Pride March and home to one of the biggest Pride celebrations in the world.
The weekend's events kick off on Friday with the Trans March and continue on Saturday, with the Dyke March and other assorted fun and then Sunday offers the historic Pride March, Pride Fest, and Dance on the Pier.
Of course, the Big Apple offers plenty more than Pride entertainment. The city definitely lives up its reputation as having a vibrant queer nightlife, but also offers much in the way of leisure activities and even natural beauty.
