DIY Nail Art: TV Test Bars-Inspired Manicure (PHOTOS)

This Manicure Will Bring Back Memories

When I'd tune into Nickelodeon on Saturday nights as a teen to watch "Kenan & Kel," "All That" and "Are You Afraid of the Dark?", the interruption of a TV test pattern would drive me insane. I loathed the streaking sound and blinding logo for making me miss out on the hilarious (and frightening) SNICK moments. However, Aleksandra of Pimp My Nails has managed to translate this traumatizing experience into amazing DIY nail art.

The Russian-born mani maven painted on the brightly colored lines perfectly between black bars using a tiny brush, but you can recreate this look easily with nail art pens. Click through the slideshow below for Aleksandra's step-by-step instructions, including the nail polish she used for the stark white base.
