Dolphin Kisses Dog In Classic Scene From 'Dolphins' (VIDEO)

Adorable Video! Dolphin And Dog Kiss!

It seems like woman and man may have some competition when it comes to being a dog's best friend.

This classic clip from the 2000 IMAX film "Dolphins" shows a dolphin jumping out of the water and kissing a dog, as well as a quick celebration following the, uh, embrace.

Even though the clip is more than a decade old, One World One Ocean put it online this week to promote their organization.

One World One Ocean, which was founded by the MacGillivray family, the same family behind not only "Dolphins," but also the IMAX films "The Living Sea" and "Everest," aims to use "the power of film, television, new media and education initiatives ... to change the way people see and value the ocean -- and motivate action to restore it."

Dolphins and dogs are among the most intelligent animals on Earth, and a recent report confirms that in some ways, the marine mammals are extremely similar to humans.

Dolphins are so distantly related to humans that it's been 95 million years since we had even a remotely common ancestor. Yet when it comes to intelligence, social behavior and communications, some researchers say dolphins come as close to humans as our ape and monkey cousins.
