Lisa Kudrow: Filming 'Web Therapy' With David Schwimmer Triggered 'Friends' Flashback (VIDEO)

'Friends' Flashback: Lisa Kudrow Talks 'Web Therapy' With David Schwimmer

It's difficult for many TV fans to think of Lisa Kudrow as anything other than the lovably goofy Phoebe Buffay on "Friends."

And for Kudrow, who is promoting Season 2 of her Showtime series "Web Therapy" (premieres Monday, July 2 at 11 p.m. ET), is can be a challenge as well. The actress told “Today” that she struggled with who she was playing when fellow "Friends" alum David Schwimmer, who played Ross, appeared as a guest star on "Web Therapy."

"That's a big deal," Kudrow said of Schwimmer's stint. "It was so fun and I did have like, 10 seconds, when we first started of, 'I don't know what Phoebe says to Ross here.'"

Schwimmer will appear in a four-episode arc of "Web Therapy" as Newell Miller, who first appears to be a stalker, but is the son of a professor Fiona (Kudrow) had an affair with in college. He saw the couple in the throes of passion and has been dealing with the trauma ever since. Schwimmer's appearance marks the second "Friends" reunion on "Web Therapy": Courteney Cox dropped by for an episode last season.

Season 2 of "Web Therapy" will feature more big-name guest stars like Meryl Streep, Rosie O'Donnell, Conan O'Brien, Molly Shannon, Minnie Driver and Selma Blair.

"Web Therapy" Season 2 premieres on Showtime on Monday, July 2 at 11 p.m. ET.
