Who told you that SCHOLARSHIPS were reserved for the poor and needy? That has NEVER been true. First look at the word. Next, do a little research into the history of scholarships and who tends to get them- children of wealthy people.

Don't confuse need based GRANTS with SCHOLARSHIPS they are NOT the same thing. Furthermore, athletic scholarships are given by athletic departments - based upon revenues generated by their athletic programs. Just thought that you should know.
