Channing Tatum, 'Magic Mike': 'Today' Show Flash Mob & Pre-Sale Ticket Domination (VIDEO)

WATCH: Channing Tatum Surprises 'TODAY' With A Flash Mob

Channing Tatum is the ultimate hype man. It's not like "Magic Mike" -- a movie based loosely on Tatum's own life as a male stripper -- needs any help in the marketing department, but Tatum's surprise flash mob on the "Today" show on Wednesday morning certainly didn't hurt ticket sales.

We don't know what's funnier: Watching Tatum's co-star Joe Manganiello grind against the embattled -- and slightly horrified -- Ann Curry or watching Tatum recycle a few of his old moves for the NBC cameras. Either way, it's truly a memorable moment in "Today" history.

In other "Magic Mike" news, CinemaBlend reports, via Fandango, that film currently accounts for 53 percent of all advance ticket sales for this weekend, ahead of Pixar's "Brave," at 31 percent, and the Mark Wahlberg comedy "Ted," at just 4 percent.

"Magic Mike" hits theaters on June 29. For more on the film, check back to HuffPost Entertainment throughout the week.
