'El Gran Wyoming,' Spanish Comedian, Blasts Spain's Government At Public Event (VIDEO)

José Miguel Monzón Navarro, a popular Spanish comedian, didn't bother saving his best material for TV -- instead, he let loose at a public demonstration, blasting Spain's Prime Minister as not "the fucking owner" of his country.

Monzón, better known as "El Gran Wyoming," presently hosts the satirical current events show, "El Intermedio," a Spanish television program akin to the "Daily Show." But a video of his public outburst directed toward the Spanish government has taken social networks by storm.

Spanish newspaper Ideal reports the famous TV host participated in a protest against public service cuts in Alcalá de Henares, a town just outside Madrid. But the acerbic-tongued actor had a few choice words for Spain's Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy, saying, Rajoy "no es el puto propietario [de España]" -- roughly "not the fucking owner of Spain" -- and that he shows "utter contempt for his people," according to a translation by The Huffington Post.

El Gran Wyoming went on to say that Spain "is going to steal money from workers to give it to the banks. This is what they're not publishing in the media," and that the Spanish PM acts as if "appearing on a balcony is a gift to the people," in reference to Rajoy's public appearances.

Spain's financial troubles are well documented, and on June 9, the eurozone agreed to lend the country up to 100 billion euros to help shore up its banks. Unemployment recently spiked to nearly 25 percent, worst in the eurozone.

But as the economy struggles and austerity measures are enacted, protests have spread rapidly, beginning on May 15, 2011; Spain's RTVE estimated that between 6 million and 8.5 million Spaniards had participated in demonstrations by August 2011.
