2. Dance For The Dying At Kennedy Center
Fans of D.C. tunes Listen Local First stage a monthly, free concert at the Kennedy Center. Tonight brings the synth friendly dance pop band Dance for the Dying to the Millenium Stage. 6 p.m., all ages, no cover
3. "Intimatta" At Hirshhorn
This new documentary explores the life of artist Roberto Matta. Directed by his son, he'll be at the film and participating in a question-and-answer session following the screening. 6:30 p.m., all ages, no cover
4. America Hearts Singles Club At Black Cat
The very good D.C. band's singles series ends with "Country," an E.P. about drinking, dogs and the road. Openers The Mean Season are a can't miss and between band DJ sets from We Fought The Big One make this a well rounded conclusion to the series. 8 p.m., 18+, $8

"Louis" Season 3 premier
The best working stand-up has one of the best television shows. "Today" doesn't understand him and we hope it stays that way. The teaser trailer for season 3 gives nothing away and it's beautiful. There's no shame in staying in, at least for a half hour.

Poutine Party at Rhino Bar
Poutine is that delicious-and-worst-thing-for-your-heart Canadian treat. Fries, gravy, cheese and happiness clog artiries and put smiles on faces before helping heart attacks rise up and destroy. It's sort of an official Canadian dish. To celebrate the upcoming Canada Day, July 1, the Canadian Embassy, the Eat Wonky food truck and Rhino Bar have teamed up for this all you can eat/drink poutine party. Canada is the best at fries and beer.

The beauty of storytelling shows is that they always make the crowd feel better about their life and they're able to cover any topic. This event's theme is, "Independence Day -- stories of freedom, declarations, and fireworks!" This broad topic allows the story tellers to talk about pretty much whatever they want, making sure that entertainment comes first.

Serenade! Festival Celebration Concert at Strathmore
Choirs from around the world will showcase their talents. From Canada to South Africa, Australia to the Czech Republic, the day will definitely have an international feel. The concert will conclude with all 325 singers performing two songs, one of which is a world premiere.
