For those of us who are into dessert, the summer is a great time. While we're fans of the pecan and apple pies of the fall and the rich chocolatey recipes we crave in the winter, the summer offers so much more in the way of sweet treats. Not only is there a plethora of fresh fruit -- strawberries, blueberries, peaches, cherries -- that start making their way into our favorite dishes, but Jell-O, ice cream and other frozen concoctions also begin making their debut.
