"The Real World" (Wed., 10 p.m. ET on MTV) returned for its 27th season, but this time it looks like it's more of a vacation than in most of the prior seasons. The seven strangers picked to live in a house weren't told where that house would be until they started coming together in groups of two or three. Then they were taken to St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, a beautiful island paradise.
They even had to travel by boat to the house they'd be staying at for the next three months. It was a beautiful vacation home, and the castmates wasted no time settling in, and even pairing up. Of course, with seven of them someone was going to be left out, and that someone was Brandon.
At the same time, though, he fixated on Nebraska native Laura. She was kind to him, and even a bit flirtatious, but her eyes were drawn to "Mr. All-American" Trey. Even though it was the first night, Brandon went into a kind of jealous fit for a bit. He may turn out to be the most unpredictable member of the cast.
He admitted to previous drug addiction, has already shown unstable behavior, and left a notebook out that was filled with some disturbing words of self-loathing. Unfortunately, some of his housemates found the notebook while he was sleeping, so he may have to face their worry and questions soon.
"The Real World: St. Thomas" airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.
