Supreme Court Health Care Ruling: Bill O'Reilly Blasts Obamacare Decision (VIDEO)

WATCH: Did O'Reilly Apologize Over Health Care Ruling As Promised?

Those who wanted an apology from Bill O'Reilly after the Supreme Court handed down their landmark health care ruling were disappointed on Thursday.

In a historic decision, the court upheld the individual mandate as a tax. The ruling surprised many observers, including O'Reilly, who believed that the provision would be overturned. He was so sure of it on March 26 that he debated a guest on the issue, and vowed to later replay it on-air and "apologize for being an idiot" if the court upheld the mandate.

O'Reilly, who called into the show while on vacation, made no mention of that previous interview on Thursday night. "I think everybody needs to take a deep breath and step back from emotional analysis," he told guest host Laura Ingraham.

He put the blame squarely on Chief Justice Roberts, who he said "stunned everybody," for the decision. O'Reilly
proceeded to lay out the ruling, claiming that it "will allow the federal government to take over the health care system" and that health care "is going to be rationed."

He said that the decision will give poor Americans free insurance, but increase everyone else's taxes in order to pay for it and hurt small businesses.
