Independence and freedom from abusive and cheating partners are worth celebrating. It is really a good thing that after divorce, there is still some people who find ways to put humor on it.

Dear fellow dogs. Come to my Mitt Romney / Sebus reenactment party. BYOR (bring your own rope). If any dog owns a station wagon and has a drivers license you will receive VIP treatment.

I think people who post these aren't over their ex or are dwelling too much on their divorce. There's nothing more tiresome or uncomfortable than someone who can't stop discussing the details of their divorce, or badmouthing their ex.

Believe me, I walked the walk. I got completely screwed with my divorce. My ex was having an affair and his parents hired a high power attorney to make sure that his affair wasn't mentioned in the divorce. He got away without paying child support (he was only ordered to pay $150 per month for two kids) by not working and by working "under the table" to not have income to report. When I tried to get him prosecuted for not paying his child support, his parents hired a lawyer again and he didn't go to jail. My kids are now adults and he only paid $900 total in 13 years for them. I'm just saying that even though I got screwed and my ex isn't a responsible person, I didn't go around badmouthing him to others or to our kids. I worked and did what I needed to do to support us and kept my mouth shut because no one really wants to hear the sordid details of someone's divorce. (Especially the children involved). The court is biased in my area toward the man, not the woman.

my favorite one is, I think I'll go back to doing what I want to do all the time. Hopefully someday I'll find someone who allows me to be a responsible adult and not a child. People like HP m0ds and husbands act like they're your parents. Do this, say this, not that...it gets old after a while.

I think it's great. We need people with less responsibility to remind us all how to have fun. But I warn you, do something generous and meaningful for someone else. It can be friends, family, whatever. If you don't, you will grow lonely, sick, old and no one will care.
