James Seehaus Says Lack Of Sex Led To Robbery: Report

Lack Of Sex Led To Robbery, Suspect Says

It was a crime of passion — or lack thereof.

Sexual frustration led to an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven in Palm Bay, Fla. according to a police report.

James Seehaus allegedly told police he committed the crime because he was upset with his fiance for "refusing to have sexual relations with him," the affidavit said. Seehaus also said he needed money to pay for car insurance.

Palm Bay police said Seehaus robbed the gas station with a BB gun wrapped in white cloth to make it look like a more dangerous firearm, News4Jax reported.

A Palm Bay police officer saw Seehaus leaving the area and stopped his car in a parking lot about a half a mile from the gas station. The BB gun was in the back, according to the affidavit.

Seehaus allegedly told police he would have committed more robberies if authorities hadn't caught up to him, the affidavit said.

The Brevard County man faces charges of armed robbery and theft.
