Here at HuffPost College, we think Millenials are awesome. Sure, they get a bad rap sometimes, but isn't that the condition of all youth? That's why we were so pleased when we spotted this awesome infographic from the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School and the Young Entrepreneur Council about why you should hire and how you should manage Millenials. Because Millenials rule!

We should be hired because it is fact that our parents' generation along with their parents are responsible for the terrible condition of the world today. They have been atrocious stewards of the Earth. Time to pass the torch to a generation more in tune with reality. Plus we are good workers. My employer is quite satisfied with us, I'm sure others would be as well!

This infographic hardly presents a compelling argument for hiring millenials. It only reinforces the negative stereotypes that employers have about them: interested in advancement without putting in the training or effort (i.e. not paying their dues), needing constant recognition (flattery...really?), are compelled to multitask (not a good thing, especially in light of recent studies), are preoccupied with social media (i.e. goofing off and not doing their jobs), are soft, emotionally dependent, and need constant guidance ("want a work environment that is comfortable and inspires them to contribute without fear of being criticized"?).

Meanwhile, employers want people who are qualified, capable, dependable, self-motivated, solutions-oriented, etc. Valuing and retaining good employees, helping employees grow, and creating a healthy and enjoyable work environment are the marks of good employers, and no doubt these are the types of employers most people want to work for/with; but asking employers to cater to a generation that has been well branded as self-interested is unprecedented. The millenials who buck these stereotypes and are actually interested in learning, contributing, and developing careers without having their egos stroked, nose wiped, and hands held are the real prizes -- they are the ones employers want to attract and keep. They won't need silly charts to sell what they have to offer.

Millenials will work for less much longer and with fewer days off for silly things like medical issues and infirmities. Let the old folks wander off into the storm, and all will be well.

It's called making good life decisions. I don't plan to get married until at least 35 and don't plan on kids until 38ish. Since I value my flexibility I won't make choices that could threaten that flexibility...btw I'm 24 now.

I think this is a good approach to getting employers to at least think about hiring these kids. There's a lot of people out there looking for work, and these kids gotta eat too.

They won't employ us because we are not experienced enough. But where should we get all that experience on our resumes when nobody is hiring us?

The worst thing that could have happened to us is studies like these where people still pretend that we are the spoiled and you need to carry our a&@es around with trophies and whatnot to win us over. How about you simply employ us and we'll show you our potential? No?

I know mommy and daddy raised you such that you think you're just the bestest ever... But as much as it grieves me to say it, "Welcome to Reality".

People are going to hire whoever is most qualified for the job... Or should...

Look, this whole 'millennial' add campaign was picking up steam in early 2008, and then, BLAMO... Well guess what... It's still BLAMO and just as many folk who were looking for work back then are still looking now.

Here's a thought: Let's not hire a demographic. Let's hire the best, most qualified person for the job.

For as much as this news establishment preaches the opposite, you sure do spend a lot of time segregating and stereotyping.
