Spotify Summer Camp Playlist: What Was In Your Boom Box At Sleepaway Camp?

NOSTALGIA: What Was On Your Summer Camp Playlist?

Remember when you could take three to 10 weeks out of your life to stay, all expenses paid, in a place where you got to hike and swim and possibly play tennis or ride horses and catch up with friends you hadn't seen since you'd all been in that beautiful place together the previous year?

I'm not talking about rehab, I'm talking about summer camp. Not all of us went -- it was expensive, after all, and some kids aren't so comfortable being away from home. Also, there were plenty of other meaningful things to do with the summers of your youth: volunteer, get a job, hang out in your room and wallow in your own ennui.

But if you did happen to go away to camp, chances are it looms vast and perfectly Instagrammed in your mental photo album from that period of your life. Living outside your own home, spending more time next to nature than you ever did otherwise, overnights, bonfires, Taps, kitchen raids, tubing, spending significant amounts of time in a lake -- what's not to love? And if you were a camper, there's probably also a very specific soundtrack to those memories. When you were playing Hearts or ERS or War for what seemed like hours, when you were lying in your bunk paralyzed by your crush on a counselor (Lindsay from Clearwater, Fla., I worshipped you), when you and the other girls in your cabin sat out on the bench in front of it and shaved your legs in front of God and everyone, what was on the radio or in the boom box? TLC? Destiny's Child? Did your cabin go through an oldies phase? (I lip-synched way more Lesley Gore than any 11-year-old should.) A Weezer period, like Emma did at Camp Moshava?

Tell us the song that brings you straight back to those sleepaway summers. Tweet @HuffPostWomen using the hashtag #backtocamp. We'll collect your suggestions in a Spotify playlist here.

See you on the bench out front in 10.
