Sure, there will always be a steady stream of thrill-seekers wanting to see crocodiles or snakes, but, for the most part, these ecosystems remain havens for nature lovers and dedicated bird-watchers.

Wetlands are natures water storage and water purification areas.

Too bad Republicans in Congress and elsewhere want to eliminate wetlands regulations so developers can fill them in and build on them. TYpical short term profits over long term benefits for society.

We need to protect and recreate wetlands that have been filled in by developers. All these storms that flood homes and businesses needs somewhere to go.

Flood insurance should only pay on a property one time. If that property is a total loss than it should go into a national land bank for future flood control. We should not subsidize people living in flood prone areas over and over again.
