'The Dark Knight Rises' Robin Parody: Above Average Productions Makes The Ultimate Batman Mashup (VIDEO)

Holy Smokes, Batman! 'The Dark Knight' Meets Robin

The "Dark Knight Rises" rumor mill has been heating up in the weeks leading up to the film's release on July 20. Fanboys and fangirls alike have been going through every trailer and 13-minute teaser to dig up anything they can on the film. One of the biggest mysteries of Christopher Nolan's final Batman chapter is Joseph Gordon-Levitt's rookie cop character. There’s been a lot of speculation about the role he plays, with many fans suspecting that John Blake might actually be Batman's right-hand man Robin.

So far, the Robin rumors have been just that: rumors. However, thanks to Above Average Productions, Batman fans can get a taste of what "The Dark Knight Rises" would be like if Dick Grayson (a.k.a Robin a.k.a. Nightwing) was there to join in on the action. There's only one catch: this isn't your normal, modern-day Robin. This is something much more nostalgic.

Baby boomers may look back at "Batman," the 1960's TV show starring Adam West as Batman and Burt Ward as Robin, with fondness, but in today's entertainment climate, we like our superheros a little less wholesome and a little more badass.

So what happens when 1960's Robin appears a modern-day Batman? Watch the video above to find out.
