Just over a year ago, Mike Schatzman and his friend Worachai Thapthimkuna, better known as Chef Chao, had a dream to bring the foods they'd discovered on their Asian travels to Chicago.
Lucky for Chicago, their dream came true, and the duo serves up unique dishes that draw on traditional Japanese flavors daily at Union Sushi and Barbeque Bar in River North.
The foodie hotspot is a blend of styles as well as flavors, mixing graffiti and edgy design in with their traditional eastern decor for a completely unique vibe.
