Despite the massive damage done to her Toyota Camry, a woman avoided serious injury after several dozen poles impaled her front windshield on a road near Deming, Washington.

Photos of the incident, provided by the Washington State Patrol, show approximately 50 of the wooden bars entering through a decimated front windshield, bending the roof of the vehicle upwards, then exiting through the car's rear.

Washington State Trooper Keith Leary told the Associated Press that when the man transporting poles strapped slowed for a garbage truck, the Camry driver didn't adjust her speed, and proceeded to slam into the 27-foot-long wooden spears. The driver transporting the poles is believed to have been traveling 25 mph.

The poles, which are intended to support teepees, broke off the Camry's rear-view mirror as they entered the windshield, leaving the mirror dangling out the back, according to NWCN.

KOMO reports the woman was transported to a nearby hospital; she didn't sustain any life-threatening injuries.
