'Wipeout': Narcoleptic Falls Asleep On Course

Narcolepsy is a real medical condition that causes people who suffer from it to fall quickly into REM sleep at inopportune times throughout the day. On the latest episode of "Wipeout" that paired employers and employees, Lindsay said that she suffered from narcolepsy, and consequently had to take a lot of naps at work.

But does she really suffer from the malady? A bizarre wink to the camera about napping at work brought it into question. Then, at the start of the course, she was out. If she didn't suffer narcolepsy, why would she forfeit her chances on the show by pretending to sleep right at the start of the course?

Or maybe it was all a ruse to reaffirm to her boss -- who looked visibly frustrated as he tried to shake her awake -- that she really did suffer from narcolepsy, thus making all those work naps necessary. Either way, the pair obviously didn't advance any further.

If she does have narcolepsy, she should be grateful she fell asleep before getting out onto the course, or things could have gotten dangerous. "Wipeout" airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
