Cat Surprises Dog: Siamese Catches Pomeranian Completely Off Guard (PHOTO)

The look says it all.

Everyone knows cats and dogs have a bit of history, even if they do cuddle up occasionally.

But as the Daily Mail points out, dogs usually have the upper hand. Not this time.

While it isn't clear from the photo what led to this confrontation, the conflict between these two pets grows to humorous proportions by the look of absolute shock on the Pomeranian's face.

It doesn't look like the dog was expecting the Siamese to get all up in his business, but that might have been the wily cat's edge.

Can't you just hear the Internet counting down to the moment this photo gets its own series of irreverent image macros?

This probably wouldn't have been funny if it were a fight between two more imposing beasts, but seeing that these two pampered housepets aren't exactly threatening, there's likely little danger involved here.

You've really got to hand it to the photographer, too. The light and shadow contrast makes the photo look like a Vermeer painting.

However, Flickr user a_ninjamonkey, who posted the photo, offers a summation that's a little less highbrow:

"Like Pokemon for real," he writes.
