Catwoman Movie? Christopher Nolan Pushes Anne Hathaway Spinoff; New 'Dark Knight Rises' Clip Released

On Her Own: Will Catwoman Go Solo?

"Dark Knight Rises" marks Christopher Nolan's graduation from telling Batman stories, but that doesn't mean he wants to see the franchise go belly-up. In fact, Nolan's already fantasizing about a Batman spin-off focusing on Catwoman.

“She’s an incredible character and we’re very excited to see her and hopefully we’ll leave people wanting more,” Nolan told Access Hollywood.

Erstwhile Oscar host Anne Hathaway plays Catwoman in "The Dark Knight Rises," and Nolan would love to see her continue the role in the future.

“For me, Gotham and these characters, I’m done. I’ve told our story and I’m moving on," he said. "[But] I certainly think she deserves [another chance], she’s incredible."

While Hathaway contemplates whether she wants to become the next Halle Berry ("Catwoman"; never forget), the "Dark Knight Rises" hype machine continues to purr along. In a twist, Warner Bros. didn't release another trailer for the film, but a new clip that focuses on Gary Oldman's Commissioner Gordon and Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Gotham City police officer, John Blake. Watch the new video below.

"The Dark Knight Rises" is out in theaters on July 20. It very well could unset "Marvel's The Avengers" as the biggest hit of the summer.
