Lifetime Going To The 'Prom' For New Reality Show

Lifetime is going back to high school for its newest reality show "Prom Queens." Premiering Tues., Aug. 14 at 10 p.m. ET, the new series heads to eight different high schools and follows girls who are competing for the the title of prom queen.

According to Lifetime, the series will "document the great social, financial and emotional lengths some girls go each spring by following the teens as they extensively strategize and campaign among fellow students to win votes and achieve their dream."

In true Lifetime fashion, look for moms who will step in to help these young girls achieve their prom dreams. "Prom Queens" participants will produce personalized videos, hit the campaign trail with baked goods all the while attending to their hair and make-up needs.

"Prom Queens" Season 1 will have eight hour-long episodes, the first of which airs on Tues., Aug. 14 at 10 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
