Anthony Weiner Tell-All Interview? Huma Abedin Reportedly Hopes To Put Sexting Scandal Behind Them

Are Anthony Weiner And Huma Abedin Planning A Tell-All Interview?

On the heels of recent reports Anthony Weiner is considering a run for New York City mayor in 2013, sources tell The New York Post the former congressman's wife is pushing Weiner to do a tell-all interview.

Huma Abedin, who is also an aide to Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, is reportedly hoping an interview will help the couple move on from the 2011 sexting scandal over lewd Twitter photos Weiner eventually admitted to sending to strangers.

The confession forced Weiner to resign from Congress.

Abedin and Clinton are known for their intensely loyal relationship, with Clinton once describing Abedin as a second daughter.

Although Weiner has dismissed rumors his wife is urging him to do such an interview, the former Rep. has indeed been slowly reemerging under the political spotlight, recently speaking to WNYC about the monumental Supreme Court ruling on Obamacare.

In the interview, Weiner commented on the sexting scandal and said, "I still have regrets. I paid a very high price, but I’m still committed to the same things I was. And I have a 6-month old that I have to go and feed now. … As I said when I resigned, I feel great regret for the people I let down."

Weiner is also reportedly considering a run for Public Advocate.
