Dez Bryant Arrested REPORT: Cowboys Star Busted On Domestic Violence Charge

REPORT: Cowboys Star Arrested

Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant was arrested on Monday, as was first reported by WFAA-TV in Dallas/Fort Worth. Although WFAA did not immediately have details of the arrest, reporter Rebecca Lopez did manage to get a quote from the 23-year-old NFL player.

KDFW reported that Bryant had been charged with a misdemeanor after police responded to a family violence call in DeSoto, Tx. According to local CBS affiliate in Dallas/Fort Worth, Bryant posted bond for less than $2,000.

The DeSoto Police confirmed to NFL.com that Bryant had been arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence. Unlike the two local reports, NFL.com indicates that Bryant was arrested on Saturday.

Tim McMahon of ESPN Dallas clarifies the timeline, reporting that Bryant turned himself in to authorities on Monday pertaining to charges stemming from an incident on Saturday.

On Monday, the Cowboys released a statement on the team's official website, saying "We are in the process of gathering information and will not have a comment at this time."

Josh Ellis of DallasCowboys.com reports that the wide receiver is expected to be with the team later this month for training camp. Bryant is entering his third NFL season after a standout college career at Oklahoma State.
