Girl Saves Cat From Dog, Carries It To Safety (VIDEO)

To this little girl, nothing is more important than her cat's safety and well-being.

Unfazed by the growling, barking dog at her side, the blond-haired tot makes her way through the winding, dirt path -- cat in tow -- with only one goal in mind: "Must save the kitty!"

The feline, which dangles helpless between the girl's arms, keeps a watchful eye on the hyper pooch below and occasionally gives a soft "meow."

For what it's worth, it seems the cat could've fended off the dog if it really wanted to. After all, the animals are nearly the same size. But it's heartwarming to see a dedicated youngster, outfitted in a rainbow shirt and animal mask, take charge of the situation before things get ugly.

Perhaps one day the furry feline might show its appreciation by coming to her rescue, just like one newly adopted cat did for its new owner.

Earlier this year, Wisconsin resident Amy Jung and her son adopted a cat named Pudding from the Humane Society. Just hours after the family made it home, Amy had a diabetic seizure in her sleep. The cat jumped on her son's bed until he woke up and was able to call for help, the Green Bay Press Gazette reported.
