Megyn Kelly is not happy.
The Fox News host lost it on Monday while discussing the 2012 presidential election. Kelly discussed the recent controversy surrounding presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney's time at Bain Capital. SEC filings revealed that Romney's signature appeared on federal records during 1999 and 2001, a time during which the GOP candidate said he had nothing to do with the firm.
In a media blitz on Friday, Romney sat down with five networks and maintained that he had no operational control at Bain after 1999. He asked Obama for an apology, after the president's deputy campaign manager said, "Either Mitt Romney, through his own words and his own signature was misrepresenting his position at Bain to the SEC, which is a felony, or he was misrepresenting his position at Bain to the American people to avoid responsibility for some of the consequences of his investments."
Kelly seemed to have had enough. She mocked Romney's request for an apology, imitating him with a childish, whiny voice. "They both talk out of both sides of their mouth," Kelly said of Obama and Romney.
She continued, "President Obama -- he wants credit for being positive, for being such a positive messenger -- and so does MItt Romney. And when they sit down with an interviewer one on one, oh, they're very positive. But when they get off camera... when they go to the ad campaigns, they're completely negative! And and they lie! They lie!"
Kelly referenced the campaigns' attack ads. "Mitt Romney put out an ad about Solyndra that The Washington Post said was full of Pinocchios and not true. And Barack Obama did the same thing about Mitt Romney's time at Bain Capital," she said. Without taking a breath, Kelly yelled, "Does truth matter at all anymore in the political process?"
While Kelly has had her fair share of more heated moments (she clashed once with Rep. Anthony Weiner), this particular outburst was still one for the books.
