Mary J. Blige On 'The Voice': Singer Joins Season 3 Of NBC Singing Competition

Mary J. Blige Brings Her Expertise To 'The Voice'

Following her silver screen appearance in “ Rock Of Ages” and criticism of her serenade of Burger King’s crispy chicken snack wraps, Mary J. Blige is scheduled to join the third season of NBC's popular singing competition show, “The Voice.”

According to Rolling Stone, the “My Life” songstress has signed on as an advising mentor for Adam Levine’s team. Blige expressed her excitement about joining the Maroon 5 frontman, and he also professed his love for her.

"I've always been a huge fan of Mary J. Blige," Levine told Rolling Stone. "So it's been great having her on ‘The Voice’ as an adviser to my team."

Blige’s involvement with the show comes less than a week after the announcement of her forthcoming co-headlining tour with R&B crooner D’Angelo, set to kick off on Aug. 18.

Season three of “The Voice” premieres Sept. 10 on NBC.
