Following her silver screen appearance in ā€œRock Of Agesā€ and criticism of her serenade of Burger King’s crispy chicken snack wraps, Mary J. Blige is scheduled to join the third season of NBC's popular singing competition show, ā€œThe Voice.ā€

According to Rolling Stone, the ā€œMy Lifeā€ songstress has signed on as an advising mentor for Adam Levine’s team. Blige expressed her excitement about joining the Maroon 5 frontman, and he also professed his love for her.

"I've always been a huge fan of Mary J. Blige," Levine told Rolling Stone. "So it's been great having her on ā€˜The Voice’ as an adviser to my team."

Blige’s involvement with the show comes less than a week after the announcement of her forthcoming co-headlining tour with R&B crooner D’Angelo, set to kick off on Aug. 18.

Season three of ā€œThe Voiceā€ premieres Sept. 10 on NBC.
