Bryanboy On 'America's Next Top Model': 'I Made The Girls Cry'

Bryanboy: I Made The 'Top Model' Girls Cry

When the whirlwind of changes hit "America's Next Top Model" -- Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander out, Bryanboy in -- we were more than a little skeptical about how the new cycle would look. Without Miss J strutting down the runway, Jay's silver coif brightening our screens and Nigel's calming presence on the judging panel, what will "ANTM" become?

Rest assured, it will be very much the same. Bryanboy, one of the three new cast members for "ANTM"'s Cycle 19, revealed to Fashionista that the drama we're familiar with remains:

Being on that panel is not easy. We would tape for five hours and I remember for the first five episodes you’ll see me very, very quiet, thinking about what I should say, but in the end I was like, you know, I’m just going to show the real me. I threw paper at a girl, I made the girls cry, I cried.

He added, "I really really loved doing a competition because you’re just being yourself -- it’s not scripted."

Yelling, crying, projectiles -- sounds like classic reality TV to us. Although he's a rookie to TV, perhaps the energetic Bryanboy will actually complement Tyra Banks, whose flair for the dramatic was previously tempered by Jay and Nigel's soothing nature, in fresh new ways.

Shaking things up, after all, is the point. Tyra explained to "Access Hollywood" that "the show just need[ed] a new boost," hence the firings and subsequent hirings. While Bryanboy will add his unvarnished opinions (as a blogger, he's got lots of 'em), model Rob Evans will bring his industry experience to the table and stylist Johnny Wujek boasts intimate knowledge of Hollywood and celebrities (he counts Katy Perry as a client).

Knowing that there's lots of crying, throwing and much more fun to be had, will you be tuning in for Cycle 19 of "America's Next Top Model"?
