Charlotte Moss Designs A Dream Potter's Room For A Gardener (PHOTOS)

Design A Gardener's Dream 'Potting Room'

Every gardener needs a small space to call their own where they can blissfully prune, snip, pot and arrange their carefully grown flowers and herbs. This is precisely how award-winning interior designer Charlotte Moss describes her potter's room (that's right, an indoor space, not a shed!) recently in the Wall Street Journal's weekend lifestyle section, Off Duty. Moss says there are few things she loves more than spending time here "in her element," and offers helpful tips for creating your own place to exercise your green thumb.

Moss suggests that your own potting room could just be a repurposed storage area, small shed or even a corner of your garage. It should be a clean and well-lit space close to your garden with access to water and storage for your necessary tools and containers. Here, you can get creative with the plants you have grown all summer long, making beautiful floral arrangements and cutting herbs to dry.

Moss has us dreaming about designing a small potter's room of our own, but without the space, we've done the next best thing: Shopped for one. Click through the slideshow below to see our favorite gear for summer gardening.
