'NY Med': Man Gets Life-Saving Transplant In Time To Walk His Daughter Down The Aisle (VIDEO)

'NY Med': Man Fears Transplant Won't Be In Time To Walk Daughter Down Aisle

"NY Med" (Tue., 10 p.m. ET on ABC) featured an uplifting tale of a father's love for his daughter. The true-life medical series told the story of a man in need of a liver transplant, and facing an emotional deadline. He was hoping to have the surgery in time to walk his daughter down the aisle at her wedding, but feared the two events would be too close together.

Fortune smiled on him twice, though. His name reached to top of the donor list a little sooner than expected, and the surgery went perfectly. The liver took and the man was quickly on his way to recovery and a brighter future.

Even better, he was able to surpass his vision of walking his daughter down that aisle and into her own future. He was well enough to have a father-daughter dance as well. It was an emotional moment for the family and the show's viewers alike.

"NY Med" keeps it real every Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
