Black Voices Atlanta Spotlight: Greg Baranco Jr. Puts A Spin On Family's Car Business

As we conclude the Atlanta’s New Leaders series, Black Voices has introduced you to a new generation of people who have not only maintained their families’ pioneering legacies, but are also expanding them by adding their distinctive voices to the black leadership movement. Each of these dynamic leaders has shared with us their thoughts on key issues that impact the African American community.

In previous weeks, we’ve heard from Andrea Young, the daughter of civil rights activist Andrew Young; Brooke Jackson Edmond, the daughter of Atlanta’s first black mayor Maynard Jackson and Marvin Arrington Jr., the namesake of civil rights attorney, Marvin Arrington. In our final week, we introduce you to up-and-coming businessman, Greg Baranco Jr.

As the only son of business leaders Gregory and Juanita Baranco, Greg Baranco Jr. works alongside his family at their successful Mercedes dealership in the Buckhead section of Atlanta. He also pursues separate business interests of his own, including an ancillary auto services company and a hip-hop record label. A gifted visual artist, the younger Baranco can often be found volunteering with the YMCA and coaching Little League team sports throughout metro- Atlanta. Well known throughout the community for his generous spirit and natural leadership abilities, Greg is currently pursuing an advance degree that will allow him to continue the formidable business and civic reputation established by his family.
