The first episode of Jerry Seinfeld's new web series Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee launched on Thursday evening with the comedian's long-time friend and "Seinfeld" collaborator, Larry David as the first guest.
The title suggests nothing that is not delivered: The show features comedians chatting in one of Seinfeld's classic cars, and they eventually arrive at a destination where they consume coffee (and food!).
While there's not much more to it than that, if the first episode is any indication, the point of the series is a little bit car porn, a little bit coffee porn, and a little bit slice of life, uh, porn. It's oddly soothing and human, and extremely good-natured.
David reveals his thoughts on why his marriage broke up — he switched from coffee to tea — and he chides Seinfeld on the evils of chicken. And most importantly, he congratulates his friend on having finally "done a show about nothing."
The episode is not yet available for embed, but you can watch it at the Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee website.
