About 25 minutes into the latest Batman film, "The Dark Knight Rises," suspected shooter James Eagen Holmes, 24, entered theater number 9 at the Century 16 in Aurora.

Dressed in full riot gear, Holmes allegedly used tear gas or smoke bombs before firing into the crowd killing 10 instantly, 2 more later in the hospital, and injuring 70.

Audio archives from first hour of the police and fire department response to the mass shooting were made available by RadioReference.com early Friday morning.

In the audio the dispatcher can be heard describing the shooting suspect outfitted in a gas mask, and the fire department asking for gas masks to enter the theater.

Around 4:50 in the third audio clip, the fire department can be heard talking about the white car used by Holmes and shouting, "Hold your suspect!"

The fire department can be heard out of the left speaker and the police department can be heard out of the right. The response to the shooting can be heard around the 28:00 mark in the first audio clip.
