Deon Cole, Conan Mock Romney Over NAACP Appearance With Hired Black Cheering Section (VIDEO)

WATCH: It's Almost As Though Romney Doesn't Think He's Relatable To Black Voters

Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney recently spoke to the NAACP, and while addressing the civil rights group may sound like a straightforward political experience, it turns out things were a little more elaborate than they appeared.

According to an NAACP official, Romney flew out his own cheering section to help ensure that his speech would be well-received. It's almost as if he doesn't trust himself to be relatable to black voters on his own.

"Conan" writer Deon Cole found the whole situation absurd, so he took some time out of Monday night's episode to break down just how ridiculous the entire situation is.

Of course, Conan couldn't resist illustrating the point further.
