Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have already been dating far longer than her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries lasted, and their relationship is reportedly going so well that Kanye is counting down the days before he can pop the question.
Sources tell RadarOnline that the 35-year-old rapper has already asked his personal jeweler to design an engagement ring for Kim, which will incorporate diamonds and rubies from his late mother Donda's jewelry collection.
The website reports that West is planning to propose just as soon as Kardashian's divorce is finalized, but that doesn't mean it will be anytime soon. The 31-year-old reality star filed for divorce from Humphries on October 31, but proceedings continue to drag out as depositions are ongoing and a trial date has yet to be set.
West was extremely close to his mother and heartbroken when she died of complications following cosmetic surgery in 2007, and sources say that with Kim, the rapper has finally "found a woman he respects and loves just as much as his mom," so he wants to incorporate some of his mother's best jewelry to help express his love for Kim.
There have already been reports that suggest the couple are engaged, as West reportedly gave Kardashian a diamond ring in early June. According to MediaTakeOut, the massive rock is just a token of Kanye's affection for Kim, and shouldn't be viewed as anything more elaborate or meaningful than the $750,000 Lamborghini she gave him for his birthday.
Though their relationship does appear to be progressing quickly, earlier reports that the two are selling their Los Angeles homes and moving in together have so far proved untrue.
RadarOnline's sources still claim, however, that once Kanye pops the question, he is pushing Kim for a wedding in his hometown of Chicago, or in Oklahoma, where his mother is buried.
