Sherman Hemsley, the actor best-known for his role as the candid and outspoken George Jefferson on the hit sitcom "The Jeffersons" has died at age 74, TMZ reports.

The award-winning actor stole the hearts of viewers everywhere with his honest humor and commentary on American race-relations in the seventies with a fervor that rivaled the stinging comedy of "All In The Family" character Archie Bunker. But we can't forget the star's show-stopping style through the years.
