Vogue Magazine's Age Issue 2012: Celebrating Fearless Women

For more than a decade, Vogue has dedicated its August issue to the theme of age. The latest take on growing older, which hits newsstands today, celebrates a variety of notable women "whose fearless approach to life is empowering and uplifting," the magazine notes.

Post 50 women in the issue include Katie Ford, 56, who left her CEO spot at the family business, Ford Models, in her 50s to tackle the global issue of human trafficking; journalist Kati Marton, 63, author of seven books, who is writing about the sudden death of her husband, diplomat Richard Holbrooke; Winston Churchill's youngest daughter, the Baroness Mary Soames, 89, who has been a witness to the key events of the 20th century and served in World War II in a mixed-gender anti-aircraft battery as a sergeant and junior officer; and former model Patti Hansen, 56, wife of Keith Richards, looking radiant surrounded by family at their Turks and Caicos hideaway.
