De Rosario scored against Chelsea in the 2006 All-Star Game and will captain the MLS squad against the Blues in 2012.

• Chelsea also played the MLS All-Star team in 2006. A goal from Dwayne De Rosario, who has been named captain of the 2012 side, settled the match 1-0 in favor of MLS.
• A late request from Chelsea means each team will have 10 substitutions. Because he needed an extra player to make that many changes, All-Star coach Ben Olsen called up Philadelphia Union utility man Michael Farfan.

Yeah, where is that smug jerk who dissed US soccer? It is true the MLS All-Stars were only playing the 5th place team in the PL, but this game was a far cry from the thumping the MLS stars got from Manchester United the last two years (5-2 and 4-0).
Well done guys. Now lets watch our ladies win another gold!!!

We're getting better. WE are the ones who ended Spain's 30 game unbeaten streak at the 2009 Confederations Cup (we won 2-0). Hating on U.S. soccer might be fashionable in some circles, but with each passing year the haters look dumber and dumber. This isn't 1998 anymore.
