Sharon Osbourne Apologizes For Buzzing A Contestant On 'AGT'

It was a tough night of eliminations on "America's Got Talent" (Wed., 9 p.m. ET on NBC) after a very solid performance episode Tuesday night. But it brought along with it a rather unusual apology from Sharon Osbourne. When the first group of contestants were brought out on stage to find out their fate, she took a moment to apologize to Ulysses.

For the first time, Osbourne wasn't a enamored with Ulysses' singing -- perhaps because he added piano? -- and so she buzzed him. But before Ulysses found out that America had also not put him through, Osbourne felt the need to apologize.

"I should never have buzzed you," she said. "It was your moment, and it was very disrespectful of me to buzz you when it was your moment."

But isn't kind of the point of the buzzers? You know, to use them?

Moving on to the semi-finals were Olate Dogs, William Close, Joe Castillo and Eric Dittelman.

"America's Got Talent" takes two weeks of for NBC's Olympics coverage before returning to its usual Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET and Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET timeslots.
