The Los Angeles City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to ban all medical marijuana dispensaries in the city, which is bad news for the people who rely on the pot for their health, but great for comedians who love stoner humor.

Luckily, Jimmy Kimmel swooped in and saved the day on Wednesday night's "Live!".

It turns out that the ban doesn't include home growing, meaning that as long as Angelinos can find an affordable way to grow the stuff at home they're not going to be living completely weed-free. So Kimmel designed the Chia Pot -- a cheap, terra cotta marijuana plant that you can grow right in your own kitchen.

Will it match your decor? Probably not. But is it genius? You bet.
