Mitt Romney In London: British Press Lampoons Candidate For Olympics, 'Mr. Leader' Gaffes

Mitt Romney had an extremely tough time in London on Thursday, after he made a number of embarrassing gaffes. He was roundly lampooned, of course, by some in the British press.

The presumptive Republican nominee kicked off his first overseas trip of the 2012 campaign by questioning London's readiness for the Olympics. Later, he called the Labor Party's Ed Millibrand "Mr. Leader" and made an unfortunate reference to 10 Downing Street. The Guardian compiled a comprehensive list of Romney's gaffes on Thursday.

"Boobs, blunders, clangers – whatever you call them, Romney likes to drop them," the website read. "And he's really outdone himself in London."

The Telegraph posted an op-ed about the gaffes that read, "Mitt Romney is perhaps the only politician who could start a trip that was supposed to be a charm offensive by being utterly devoid of charm and mildly offensive."
