Home Depot Style Guide Summer 2012: A Digital Magazine All About Color, Tips And DIY

A Stylish Digital Mag From A Surprising Place

There's nothing better than when all the things we love rest happily on the pages of one digital magazine. So, naturally we were thrilled when came across the Summer 2012 edition of the Home Depot Style Guide. This hidden gem has everything from entertaining tips, DIY projects, design ideas and lots of helpful info about color, that will keep the summer fun flowing.

Though many branded publications often turn out looking more like advertising circulars, we were pleasantly surprised by the sophistication of the layouts -- which are on par with other digital mags (like Trad Home). This edition focuses on all things hue, with the theme "Color Your Summer." The content of the pages is based around four colors that are hot: yellow, red, blue and green. We're particularly fond of the red section which provides grilling tips and even a Martha Stewart recipe for delicious kebabs. And the blue section that shows off three different design options for one bathroom, each keeping with the notion of tranquility and serenity.

We were also really impressed with the last page of the magazine which provides step-by-step instructions for some of the awesome DIY projects featured throughout, like how to make a container garden and how to paint an outdoor rug.

So, it's safe to say we're totally feeling the Summer Style Guide and we can't wait to see what The Home Depot has in store next!
