Nolan Gould, 'Modern Family' Actor, Heads To The Grand Canyon With Sierra Club (PHOTOS)

'Modern Family' Star Tours The Grand Canyon

'Modern Family' actor Nolan Gould -- better known to watchers of the ABC comedy at Luke Dunphy -- headed to the Grand Canyon with the Sierra Club earlier this month to hang out and raft through Glen Canyon, a red rock scar originally cut by the Colorado River.

Gould, who is a Sierra Club Youth Ambassador, also went mountain biking in the protected area straddling the border of Utah and Arizona. Of the trip, Gould said in a press release:

I had so much fun touring the Grand Canyon area with the Sierra Club. I love to get outdoors and enjoy nature. We went kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, and even rode mules. To do all these things in one of the most stunning natural areas in the world just made it more amazing. I don't believe that anyone can see the Grand Canyon area for themselves and not know that we have to do everything we can to protect it for future generations.

Sounds like we have a budding Teddy Roosevelt in our midst.

This isn't Gould's first foray into the wilds of America. Season 3 of 'Modern Family' was filmed at Lost Creek Ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
