The London 2012 Olympics have become a spectator sport for us as we watch to see just how the notable attendees interact with one another and, more importantly, what they're wearing. Luckily, there's been more than enough buzz at the London Aquatic Center to bring out plenty of royals and first ladies to feast your eyes on during the games.

Michelle Obama was there with a flag in hand to cheer on Team USA. The first lady has been making sure she's in good company thus far, kibitzing with Kate Middleton at the opening reception, chatting with Serena Williams' family in the tennis pro's coach box and watching the American swim team win gold medals alongside former Olympic swimmer Summer Sanders. FLOTUS chose a simple ensemble yesterday, wearing a green striped tank top and black skinny pants. Ann Romney was also there with a flag of her own, sitting alongside her Republican presidential candidate husband in a surprisingly funky Peter Pan collar top.

The royals in attendance mostly opted for sportier courtside looks (think: polos, hoodies and khakis). Princess Mette-Marit of Norway seemed to be quite the social butterfly, making sure to catch up with the Duke and Duchess of Luxembourg and Princess Mary and Prince Frederik of Denmark. Click through to see what all the notables wore during the swimming competitions yesterday and today.
