A former Camp Pendleton Marine who was ousted from the service in April based on remarks he made on the Facebook page, "Armed Forces Tea Party," has announced he wants to put his energy toward his city of residence—Murrieta.

When are people going to wake up and realize that the Tea Party is not about opposition, or just being really angry about Obama, but it is really and truly about SEDITION at its core? Look more deeply into the rhetoric and connect the dots, you will see that in the back of their minds they truly think they are starting a new American revolution, overthrowing the government and replacing it. Why does the symbolism of their rhetoric and their choice of revolutionary iconography never get talked about.

Show of hands of you that are surprised that another disgraced former service member is a Tea party candidate?
Try to imagine what the GOP reaction would have been to a Marine that refused to deploy to Iraq because he didn’t believe they had WMD’s.
He would have been excoriated (and rightfully so) by the GOP as a Traitor.
Of course since he spoke out against a Democratic President he is portrayed as a hero.
It will be fascinating to watch John McCain speak out for him.

Murrieta is a relatively conservative suburban community.

But, they are most definitely not stupid. Nor are they anti-American.

I'll be very surprised indeed if this sorry individual gets more than 10% of the vote.

Oh, wonderful! Another mindless fellow who will gain political advantage from his "service record", like his bedfellow in politics, Alan West. Both "homebound heroes", each of them traitorous to the oaths they swore to, honored by the sheeple in their districts by getting elected to "public service" - translated that means "servicing" the public from the rear while collecting plenty of money from the puppeteers. Nice fellows, wouldn't you say? When I served in the military, making derogatory statements about my Commander-in-Chief(the despicable Nixon) was treason and would get you a term in the brig, not in public office! How the country has changed since!

brad, I agree with you, but there was another Marine, Olly North, who lied in front of Congress and yet continued as a "trustworthy" source. Then there was also G. Gordon Liddy, failed burglar who was once recommended to me as "the only honest man in news". And of course, now Michelle Bachmann, who lies as easily and as often as she breathes. There are enough stupids out there to listen to these lies and actually believe them. Sigh

During his trial, Rep. Darrell Issa wrote a letter to the base commander at Camp Pendleton, and other brass, to plead for leniency for this sorry soul. Mind you, Stein had posted a message on his Facebook page that said, " Obama is the enemy within that we were warned about." Issa had no concerns about discipline, morale, order, the safety of other active duty Marines who had to work with Stein.

Later when I started hearing about the so-called "whistle blower" in the Fast and Furious tale, I started wondering if Issa somehow recruits disgruntled individuals in the military and / or law enforcement to use for his own agenda.
