'I Survived': 8-Year Old Escapes After Being Kidnapped And Chained Inside A Car (VIDEO)

It was with cautious trepidation that Midsi agreed to tell her terrifying story on "I Survived" (Sun., 10 p.m. ET on Biography). She shared the details of how she was kidnapped on her eighth birthday, and the brutal treatment she endured.

According to Midsi, her kidnapper was so audacious and arrogant that he went to her parents' house while he had her chained in his car and ask for fliers to put up around the neighborhood.

But then he made a critical error, forgetting the keys that locked the chains holding Midsi in his car. The young girl managed to free herself and make a run for it. Midsi talked about praying to God for forgiveness for her past sins, and in the end, she found salvation.

She found some cathartic release from being on the show as well. "It's kind of hard for me, but feels good to let it out," she said of telling her story for the first time since the trial that put her attacker in prison. His sentence was for more than 250 years, but he died in prison in 2007.
