Max Sidorov, Man Behind Bullied Bus Monitor Fund, Launches '7 Million Acts of Love' Campaign

Max Sidorov showed the world how love can triumph over senseless hate after he helped raise more than $700,000 for a tormented bus monitor. But he’s not stopping there.

The Canadian do-gooder was horrified after watching a 10-minute viral video of middle-school boys firing evil invectives at Karen Klein, a 68-year-old bus monitor, and decided to do something about it. He launched a wildly success online charity campaign for Klein and is now applying his fundraising skills to help put an end to bullying.

“I know what it’s like being bullied and maybe you do too. It’s something nobody should have to go through,” Sidorov says in his YouTube video. “By addressing the root cause and creating platforms to spread the love…we can make a difference.”

The graduate student has partnered with Klein and film and television director Joel Gordon to launch the “7 Million Acts of Love” campaign, an initiative that aims to raise $7 million for three noteworthy anti-bullying causes.

Funds collected will help provide free counseling for bullied children, support a nonprofit television series devoted to featuring acts of kindness and love and promoting LoveDeeder.com, a platform that will enable people to collaborate on charity and cause-related projects, according to Mashable.

Sidorov told Mashable that he hopes the trio will be able to create the largest crowdfunded charity the world has ever seen.

“I am so happy about everything everyone has done for me,” Klein says in the cause’s YouTube video. “And now, maybe, you can help others. I think that would be wonderful."
