Here at HuffPost Travel, we've seen our fair share of unique accommodations. For instance, there's the Beatles-inspired yellow submarine hotel, the floating solar-powered hotel, and the bubble hotel that opened in an Estonian national park.

As bizarre hotels are gaining steam, TripAdvisor has weighed in on which hotel is the quirkiest place to stay in the USA. From a retired jail, to a lighthouse to an old rail car, these are more than your average Marriott. Check out TripAdvisor's list in the slideshow below.
